Finally! The long-awaited title track of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya is out. The film, which marks the debut of Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher, has been inspired by the legend of Mirza–Sahiban’s tragic romance.
Coming back to the title track, it is like visual poetry brought to life. The song, filled with heightened drama and action-packed sequences, has been shot in the colourful terrains of Rajasthan and the awe-inspiring landscape of Ladakh. Set in contemporary times, it also gives flashes of the fantastical universe of the folklore.
However, the highlight of the song is the crackling chemistry between the two debutants.
The folk number is sung by Daler Mehndi, Sain Zahoor, Akhtar Chinnal and the Nooran Sisters. It has been composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and written by Gulzar. The movie is co-produced by Cinestaan Film Company and ROMP Pictures. Mirzya also stars Om Puri, Anjali Patil and Anuj Chaudhary in pivotal roles. It is set to hit the screens on October 7.
